Nobska Pond

Designed and built in the 1990’s, this early project of Hart Associates overlooks Nobska Pond and the Vineyard Sound beyond. The wrap around porch is an outdoor gathering space where afternoons are spent watching the ferries shuttle across the sound toward Martha’s Vineyard. The materials of the exterior - natural shingles, white trim and a wood roof - allow the house to sit quietly on the site. Oversized windows and doors maximize views, light and fresh ocean breezes.
