Our client purchased his childhood home in the Neighborhood Nine Historic District in Cambridge. He was looking to transform the 1960s styling of the interior, which had been stripped of most original detailing, to be more in keeping with the 1880s house. A modern spiral stair was removed, the outdated kitchen and baths were renovated, and a new mudroom and back entry porch were added. New windows and doors brought more light into the new spaces and provided a connection to the attractive side yard.
