Great Meadows House
G R E A T M E A D O W S H O U S E
This 1970 contemporary house was designed by the renowned Boston architect Peter Chermayeff for his family. The simple geometric volumes of the house hover above The Great Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary pond and wetlands. When the new owners purchased the house, it was in need of major renovations. While the house already had expansive walls of windows, additional well placed windows were added (never enough glass) to capture all views of the serene natural setting. Renovations included kitchen, primary bedroom and bath, extensive built ins and a new hanging fireplace; white walls throughout kept the house light and bright.
